Year 7 identity poetry

One of Mrs Hargreaves’ Year 7s has written a thoughtful poem about himself.

I am like a house: reliable and inviting

I wonder who would win when shark and orca are fighting

I hear my sister yappling away all the time

On Youtube I see rappers spit their rhymes

I want a hedgehog to pet and hug

I am like a house: reliable and inviting

I would pretend to flip off a roof and survive

I touch a leopard to tame its breed

And I worry about people who are in need

I am like a house: reliable and inviting.

I understand things are special to other people

I say that life is deserving for everyone, including lazy people

I dream that I am in space

I try to teach people to tie their face

I hope the Coronavirus gets blasted into space

I am like a house: reliable and inviting.
