A piece of descriptive writing from Mrs Spedding’s Year 9s

The city metropolis stretched out as far as the eye could see with the city of lush hour screaming amongst the municipality.  As the tops of the buildings fractured the blanket of clouds, the sun glistened through making me feel joyous and content.  Looking down on us was the mist which danced in the wind’s song, encasing the sun which was leaving the sky a warm, fuzzy shade of orange.  Slowly the sun glided downwards beyond the horizon, leaving the city in the dreaded darkness.
