It wasn’t meant to end like this. It was meant to be the best day of the year. December the 24th, we all got in the car me Ava, Lucas and Sarah. If we never went to get the lights this would never happened. We set off at 11 am, we got in the car all so happy listening to Christmas songs. How could a day so perfect end up to a nightmare? We got out to get the lights, I turned back for two seconds only two seconds. Why did this happen to me? There was a balloon stuck in between two branches, Ava wanted it she walked closer and closer I turned around and told her to stop. It was like she needed this balloon. She started climbing the tree, I ran to get her but it was to late. Her foot slipped and she fell, she fell out of the tree and down the icy stairs. There’s no one else to blame but myself.
Sarah and Lucas came out the shop. I screamed them over. We looked at Ava on the floor and there was no movement. My heart dropped so deep and my face pale like snow. It was almost like I froze out, out of my life. I heard a voice, “dad my harm it hurts.” It was Ava. We all held her like it was the last time. We got straight in the car and drove to the hospital, 15 minutes that felt like years. We arrived. It was so busy but I signed her in. She got a doctor, he checked her and then told us she needed an ex-ray but one parent had to wait in the waiting area. So Ava, Lucas and Sarah went in. I told Ava that I will be waiting in reception until she comes out.
Minuets turned into hours. It was now 6 pm and we got to the hospital at one so I went up to the lady and asked her how long they will be. She asked for the patients name so I told her. She told me there was no one on the list with that name. I explained that I signed her in she told me again there was no one on the list with that name. I told her the name of the doctor then she said there is no doctor with that name.my anger was building up- I screamed. The woman rang security to take me out.
The security put me in a room with nothing in it but pills, a glass window and a door. It was locked.
